In tune with the news

The Listener is New Zealand's answer to the UK's New Statesman and every well informed kiwi's weekly digest. They've started a fascinating barometer of the news agenda where you can vote for the current news agenda and classify it's position in a matrix of what's topical, interesting, tedious or dated. You can also put up new issues as topical.
You can see this for yourself. www.i-think.co.nz. But, those outside of NZ might find it a parochial view of the world - which pretty much sums up much of the media coverage here with limited mention and almost non existent analysis of wider world affairs.
No mention of Middle East confict, the World Trade Talks or the drugs scandal at the Tour Du France for instance. Still, no use moaning, I'll just have to sign up and start irritating them by suggesting a broader range of topics that should be influencing kiwi thinking.
Second thoughts, until we've got our residency might be best to keep head down!
