Morning tea mania

I've blogged before about the rituals of morning tea here in New Zealand. A very civilised way of getting together with people to spoil your appetite for lunch or your diet.

MT's turn has come around again. He was in charge of savouries last time and baked two very nice quiches which went down a storm. This time he's on sweet duty so last night was a baking frenzy to provide for the office table.

I admit I knocked up a couple of old favourites. Nigella's Guiness and Chocolate cake and a batch of Pear and Ginger Muffins.

It was really country experience. Dogs flat out on their cushion drying off from their Sunday bath with the Archers Omnibus Edition on the radio. I was more Jill Archer than Nigella I think although she was baking scones for the Church AGM!

MT was packed off with his goodies in one piece so it will be interesting to see if they make it all the way to town without them being bashed, broken or more likely eaten on the way!
